Barn Charm

Around here it's really difficult to find a barn that's still standing that doesn't have a metal roof. This one is probably not in use as there is a newer barn behind it. I love the swayback ventilated roof and the cedar shingles tinted mossy green on the north side.

  6. That is a very unusual barn.
I would love to know more about its history.
While the green does add charm I am sure it is eating away at those shakes. This would be a nice barn to preserve.

  7. Nice find...love the cedar shingles...years ago in my first house...we salvaged cedar shingles from an old barn and put them on a wall in our L.room.

  8. WoW! Looks like very large mesh! LoL! I wonder what happens to wood what makes it turn mossy like that, cuz it isn't on all old barns... just some of them!

Thanks very much for joining! =)
