31 days postcards FAIL

I'm not sure why I made the commitment to myself to post 31 days, I guess when I did my life wasn't so hectic or at least I thought things would settle down in October. Wrong! It was even busier than I expected. Guess I forgot what 2 teenagers, two schools in different directions, one car and football can do to life.

The following picture postcards are some of my past favorites some edited some not. All are from the beautiful area I am blessed to live in.

14 - 15 - 16

WOW, do I have a lot to do to catch up for the posting challenge of 31 days.
4 more days to post 15 more postcards....think I can do it????

A few that I never got around to posting from our vacation last June:

#14
hollyhocks growing profusely in arid Colorado

#15
playing with frames from

#16
Arches National Park, Utah - Double Arch
is one of our favorite places to go.
The boys (can you see them - bottom right?) especially
enjoyed this arched formation. The opening scene in
Indiana Jones Last Crusade was filmed very near this arch.
It inspires adventure don't you think?

day - 9 Barn Charm

An Autumn barn,
just down the road,
nestled in the side of a hill,
almost out of site.

31 days - 8

Wow, 14 years old, *sigh* my baby is growing up.
I've got mixed emotions about this..
I'll miss having little boys but so looking forward
to see the man he'll soon become.

Day 8 and I'm already playing catchup

No edited photos today just a  list of lame excuses why I've gotten so far behind.

On day 5 - the cold crud that is going around got to me and fogged my mind all day and blogging from the football stadium under the lights doesn't really work.

#39 belongs to me, at least I feed him...often.

Day 6 - spent a wonderful day at a Biblical Women's conference taking things in and relaxing in the beautiful retreat gardens.

Day 7 - my baby's 14th birthday, his present? A new cell phone line, his first, some how it worked out that he took my phone and I got an iPhone and of course we spent too much time setting them up to our liking.
Photos from said iPhone to come.

Days 8 and 9 on the way.

Day 4

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

day 3

Why 31 days of postcards? Besides the obvious - my blog title,
1. I wanted the challenge to post everyday for 31 days
2. I live in a breathtakingly beautiful place
3. I love taking photos of the area
4. I wanted to share my photos, thoughts, quotes and scripture with as little text as possible, like a postcard.
There you have it, Enjoy, and please post a comment to let me know what you think.
Oh yeah, check out the over a thousand 31 dayers (link button at right)
