valley view

I snapped this lovely scene with my iphone, I loved the fresh dusting of snow on the higher hills highlighted by the setting sun. What I did not like was no matter how much I tried with my limited photoshop experience to add some more light to the foreground I kept washing out Mt. Baker and the hill top snow. I was going to post as is but then I decided to grab my camera and shoot the same scene the next day but earlier. (No problem since this is just down the road from home).

Here is the sooc.

I would LOVE suggestions!! Forget using the iphone? change camera settings? maybe bring a chair and wait for perfect lighting, does that exist in this situation? HELP!

barn charm 127

I don't remember where I shot this, possibly Whidbey Island, and
I'm not sure what this barn like structure is used for, but
those crazy windows attract interesting wildlife ;-)
